How to Enter Diag Mode on AOSP ROM

Okay, here’s a little background :

 

1. We love Android (and maybe hate Apple), and HTC is a manufacturer with great device built.
2. Here in Indonesia, data speed with GSM is usually horrible most of the time! And by means horrible I mean its fucking sluggish make you wanna throw your phone for fuck sake!
3. So simply use CDMA then? Okay, but not that easy. Almost all Android CDMA devices out there are using inject system with no RUIM (SIM Card), so we need to manually inject our DN (phone number information) to our phone.

 

1. HTC makes it happen by providing “Diag Mode” in their ROM so we can connect HTC phone to our PC and configure its inject parameters.
2. Problem : Diag mode is only possible with phone running HTC’s own ROM (with HTC Sense interface)

Sense is good. You’ll see that HTC is really good at drawing cloud and rain (LOL), but there are bunch of other ROMs out there which is a lot faster and snappier than Sense ROM, they based on AOSP. One AOSP ROM that outstanding among others is MIUI. it’s clean, beautiful, fast and constantly updated. The down part of MIUI are maybe it’s made in chinese and it’s closed source.

MIUI 1.7.8 [stable release will come next few weeks] Review

Isu MIUI stable release sudah mulai di kabarkan mulai dari beberapa minggu kemarin, dengan tampilan “iphone” dan sangat simple membuat ROM ini banyak peminatnya, dan sudah banyak komunitas menggunakan ROM ini, ini terlihat dari banyaknya fan pages baik di US, UK, BR dan lain sekitarnya

masih menggunakan beberapa custom ROM seperti dari Cyanogen, SavagedZen [ROM and Kernel], Fresh [AOSP], etc, kali ini mungkin untuk menambah pengalaman saya merekomendasikan untuk memakai ROM dari MIUI [redefining android], Custom ROM ini di develop dari beberapa developer di seluruh dunia, dengan base di china..display MIUI Rom bisa dikatakan ‘mengikuti’ dari Apple Iphone..

release terbaru dari MIUI adalah 1.5.6, untuk beberapa devices general silahkan mengunduh di miuiandroid website sedangkan untuk yang menggunakan ‘Non Market Released’ phone di indonesia seperti dari sprint, verizon, virgin etc [US Based Phone] silahkan mengunduh ROM ini di miui-us

Tiamat kernel V 4.0.0 vs SavagedZen V 2.0.2 at MIUI 1.4.29

After several days use new tiamat kernel 4.0.0 [2.6.38.5] now its a review for this kernel [from my opinion].

advantage:

- battery life is now more great than another version.

- schedulling use CFS [Completely Fair Schedule] just i guess

- all function is running great. memory management more good.

disadvantage :

- no item found [still monitoring it]

- bug at camera [camera not loaded]

Now i will update to SavageZen Kernel 2.0.2 HAVS  CFS, next post will write the review here.

Advantage :

-  Stable, stability is same like tiamat 4.0.0

- schedulling and memory mapping is tidy

disadvantage :
- booting take 2 time slower than tiamat

How to inject AHA for HTC Evo

mungkin beberapa teman yang bermain dengan inject-injectan HTC Evo atau droid phone dari US masih memakai service smart, sebenarnya cara inject AHA dan smart sama saja dari sisi software dan beberapa settingan, hanya yang berbeda adalah pada saat AN account, NAI dan tethered NAInya, karena AHA agak sedikit unik untuk masalah ini.

mungkin untuk lebih gampangnya bisa ke CS untuk nanya akey dan AN dan password ANnya, karena 2 hal ini yang paling penting..kalau informasi ini sudah di dapat, bisa langsung menuju step by step yang pernah di posting cara inject smart di droid phone US

Review Evo with MIUI 1.4.15

Selesai juga ngupdate miui ke versi baru…sedikit review untuk miui 1.4.15 di HTC evo..
Masih sama dengan versi sebelumnya,paling banyak update disisi UI,kernel masih pake tiamat kernel 2.3.37..caller udah pakau ui terbaru,startup animation juga yg terbaru.
Untuk bugs masih belum ada yg major.cuma masih sering clash aja untuk beberapa aplikasi yang perlu memory besar,nfs shift belum bisa running di miui 1.4.15 evo..
Yang lain ok banget.custom rom android recomended lah

review CFW FeelIt^4 by PedroCst

this is the best CFW that i already tested, before a lot of CFW already test. but this CFW is more better, but there are still another bugs, like java installation still have a problem [pedrocst said - it will fix at CFW feelit^5]

Battery Drain issue already solved here, my phone can life 2 days or more with full batery charge.

now another CFW released again, some CFW use N97 Mini base, and another still use C6 11.0.29 FW, i thinks C6 base still better than N97 mini base CFW.

now prepare for another CFW test…and i will write down the rreview

Ported C6 FW to Nokia 5800 XM

take from PNHT team, that FW C6 already success ported to nokia 5800 XM. below is the release from PNHT team.

Hi everyone

The first ported C6 v10.0.024 to 5800 and 5530 had some serious RAM management issues and apparently, battery drain. Well, as all of you know, this was Nokia’s mistake

However, they seems to have fixed some of these bugs for original C6 owners.

PNHT always wants the best for their fans So we grabbed this update and cooked it for you

Currently, the FW have been ported successfully to 5800 RM-356 and 5530 RM-504 Preliminary tests seems correct for us. RAM management is better while keeping a good performance level. The FW always feel fast and snappy

From the look of it, we think that we will release today

Notes
Follow the same flashing instructions of the previous ported C6 version
Old language packs should work correctly in this build
